About Rehaa

A feminist, refugee-led platform amplifying the stories, research, and sisterhood of girls and women silenced by forced marriage, censorship, and displacement.

Our Story

Rehaa began as a digital, volunteer-driven initiative, created by women and allies with lived experiences of displacement, forced marriage, and systemic silencing. From the start, it’s been a collective effort shaped by survivors, researchers, and community advocates who share a bold vision for a safer, freer future.

Vision & Mission

Vision: A world where no girl is silenced by circumstance.

Mission: To ensure voices from conflict zones and refugee communities lead conversations around rights, freedom, and justice.

Our Values & Approach

We are guided by:

  • Lived experience; our work reflects real stories, needs, and hopes.
  • Participatory, trauma-informed design; we listen before acting, co-create rather than assume.
  • Community-driven process; volunteers and collaborators help shape every part of what we do.
  • Decolonial thinking & anti-racist practice; accountability and solidarity are at our core.

Our Team & Partners

Our strength lies in our collective; a network of survivors, allies, researchers, writers, artists, and organizers rooted in the region. Guided by trust and radical care, we co-create resources, stories, and strategies that empower girls and women to speak out, find healing, and shape change.

Get Involved
